Comedy for Charity Awarded $10,000 from NBC’s The Funny Dance Show

Miracles do happen if you believe! Comedy for Charity was selected as the first charity recipient of $10,000 from NBC’s The Funny Dance Show on the E! Entertainment channel. While we are used to our favorite comedians making us laugh telling their funny jokes, this reality television dance show has two teams of comedians competing in a series of dance-offs. Fortunately, the comedians are provided with the assistance of professional choreographers as well as an entourage of expert backup dancers for their dance performances.

Judged by Loni Love, Justin Martindale and Allison Holker, the series is wacky, uplifting, and flat out hilarious. Season One is over, but you can binge watch all 8 episodes with E! on Demand. It’s the perfect antidote for this global pandemic, which is such a challenging and difficult time in our history.

It is also a propitious opportunity to double down on our efforts to stop violence. This donation will allow Comedy for Charity to help make our Tucson community a safer place.

We are grateful to comedians Flula Borg and Jessimae Peluso, won Episode 1, and announced they selected Comedy for Charity as the recipient of the $10,000 prize. Many thanks to hosts Justine Marino and Heidi Heaslet, the comedians/dancers, judges, and to everyone else who participated in this funny, original, and creative show. We are looking forward to Season Two.
